A family on mission in the city
After finding Christ on as a college freshman and being discipled through Chi Alpha, Todd pioneer Chicago Chi Alpha in 2010. What began as a single campus ministry has grown into a citywide outreach on four campuses: University of Illinois at Chicago, Loyola University, Northwestern University, and Columbia College.
Todd and Shawndra live in the heart of the city with their three boys: Ethan, Cameron, and Hudson.
Building a citywide community of student disciple-makers with a global impact
Tomorrow’s leaders are on today’s college campuses. We have discipled students who have gone on to become doctors and nurses, social workers, church planters, professional athletes, engineers, etc.
Nations all over the world send their best and brightest to attend universities in Chicago. We reach them with the gospel, disciple them, and send them back to their home countries as missionaries full of the love and power of God.
Secular college campuses are also full of students who emerge from local church youth groups. We disciple them to grow in their faith and live on mission right here and now.
We make disciples who make disciples.
Our Team
We serve and work alongside a team of ten missionaries in Chicago.
Our next season
This fall, Todd will step into the role of Chi Alpha Director for the entire state of Illinois. His role as Citywide Director for Chicago XA will be absorbed into this new state leadership position.
As State Director, Todd will oversee and provide pastoral leadership for over 30 XA missionaries and volunteers on 14 campuses across the state. His primary focus will be raising up teams to plant new XA chapters on campuses where there is currently no Chi Alpha presence.
